Puppy Information

  • Health Certificate

Per Florida State law, Lakeside Golden Kennels ensure that each of our puppies goes to their new families with a clean bill of health. We require all of our puppies to have a health certificate regardless if their forever family is in-state or out-of-state.

  • Puppy Goodie Bag

Here at Lakeside Golden Kennels, we ensure that each of our puppies goes home with a blanket with momma dog, daddy dog, and litter scent. This helps your new family member feel right at home. Puppies will also come with a collar, leash, a baggie of their food, a birth certificate, and a favorite toy.

  • DNA - GEN Tested

Breeders from around the world spend years building their reputation with clients. Here we make sure that all puppies from the first to last litter come home with a DNA and Genetics test that gives you, as the new owner, an in-depth look at your puppy's genetic background and DNA profile for owner peace of mind. By Lakeside Golden Kennels providing this to the buyer, we ensure that all buyers are fully aware of their puppy's background.

  • Exposure

When puppies were four weeks old, we began exposing them to different sights, smells, and noises, all within the safety of our home and backyard. So by the time your furry friend is ready to come home, they will have already been accustomed to vacuum noise, washers and dryers, and other outdoor noises they may encounter.

  • Water Friendly

At six weeks old, our puppies were introduced to water and swimming. Teaching your puppy early on in its life how to swim can and will save your dog's life. We start in the bathtub and then progressively, through outdoor play, encourage the puppies to be in the shallow part of the pool.

  • Microchip

Microchipping your puppy can reassure you that if it ever gets out, a person can bring your dog to a shelter or vet office, and the owners can be called. Our puppies at eight weeks old, when they go for their final vaccines, will be microchipped by the vet and registered in your name and our kennel’s name; this reassures we can identify if one of our pups ends up in a shelter or rescue. In addition, this allows us to bring them back to their birth home and then to a forever home.
